Over 4 decades ago, the Karah family was excited about the prospect of farming in California, and was advised by UC Davis to grow grapes, based on the terroir and climate. The intention was to perfect the viticulture skills and grow Pinot Noir of the highest quality. Afterward Karah made the gutsy decision of building his own winery.
