Mark Payne

I was born and raised on the eastern shores and islands of Georgian Bay, and have spent my life playing and working here. I grew up boating, fishing, and loving summers on The Bay. As a teenager I worked at my family’s marina in Pointe au Baril, learning mechanics and honing my sales and people skills. After graduating from post secondary studies in 1995, I started working full time at the marina and eventually took ownership of Payne Marine in 2001. With the strong support of my family, we grew the business steadily to over twenty team members and we received numerous North American wide industry awards.

In 2020 I made the decision to sell and prepare my career in real estate, a goal I had since my early twenties. Aside from being a strong advocate of all things Georgian Bay, I have a passion for helping people. I pride myself on providing exceptional service, educated opinions and my accessibility. When I am not helping my clients, I am likely found enjoying time in the outdoors in all seasons. Everything from exploring new picnic spots in a boat on a summers evening to snowmobiling in the winter, I love to be in nature year-round. I am proudly married for almost 25 years to my wonderful and supportive wife, and together we are super proud parents to our amazing daughter, whom we spend as much time with as we possibly can.

I have been serving clients in a customer service industry for over thirty years and so I understand business and I understand people.
