Michael James

.With a business background that includes real estate and investment, Michael James has experience that is key to helping clients find the perfect property.

Michael works alongside his wife, Debbie, at Scenic Sotheby's International Realty, serving as the team's business coordinator following the successful sale of their vacation rental company. The couple moved to the Emerald Coast in 2004. After a short visit, Michael said they were absolutely mesmerized by the area. So, they drove back to Atlanta, sold their home there and were living their dream here within three weeks.

A licensed real estate agent himself, Michael will be helping her by developing new business and coordinating work with other agents. He says listening to a client to learn their needs is of the utmost importance. After that, Michael lets his expertise kick in to get the job done.

Before starting the vacation rental company, Michael renovated, rehabbed and flipped houses. He jokes that he was flipping houses before HGTV made it cool, but he also says those experiences have helped him because he understands what it takes to find, purchase and renovate good investment properties.

One of Michael's favorite quotes is by William Blake, who wrote, 'I must create a system, or be enslaved by another man's. I will not reason and compare: my business is to create.' His background and experience show he's taken that philosophy to heart.

Michael grew up playing golf, playing on junior tours and the Tommy Armour tour. He also enjoys pickleball.
