Before joining Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty, for more than a decade, Ian worked directly for the retired CEO of a NYSE-listed company based in Texas, gaining extensive experience in property management, construction oversight, design coordination, and real estate negotiation. Ian’s former mentor exemplified “servant leadership” instilling in him the importance of becoming not just a skilled real estate agent, but a great listener and faithful steward of every transaction.

Ian believes that every successful real estate partnership begins with listening. Rather than presenting to clients, he interviews them—asking thoughtful questions, learning their stories, and understanding their goals. That approach allows him to step into their shoes, becoming not just their agent but their advocate.

Known for his calm demeanor, sharp natural instincts, and attention to detail, Ian thrives under pressure and never forgets that he’s working with his clients’ most important investments. He provides each client with a personalized, strategic marketing plan, around-the-clock availability, and the highest level of discretion and loyalty.

In his first four years with Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty, Ian’s engaging personality and unwavering commitment to his clients earned him Top Producer recognition in 2023. He has successfully represented buyers and sellers closing on transactions in prestigious Highland Park, University Park, Preston Hollow, and the Oak Lawn–Turtle Creek neighborhoods of Dallas.

Ian moved to Highland Park in 1987 when his family relocated from Louisiana so he could attend the Shelton School. After graduating from Highland Park High School, Ian attended American University while working on Capitol Hill for two U.S. Senators and later graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in Political Science.

His professional journey later took him from Dallas to South Carolina, New Mexico, and Arizona, where he honed his real estate sales expertise in high-end condominium sales—closing more than 65 condominiums in twelve months. Returning to Texas, he worked for a high-end luxury sales team to market the Hill Country Harbor and the Ranch developments at Possum Kingdom Lake.

He is as persistent as he is personable. “My clients know they are in good hands from start to finish,” he said. One Highland Park client recently wrote, “Ian managed every aspect of the property and sale from the time he received the listing through the final close. Very pleased with his performance.'
