In 1996, the couple bequeathed the house to the Benaki Museum, which has carefully restored the property, preserving its original shape, atmosphere and charm.

By making it available for rent during the summer months, the Benaki Museum ensures the annual operation of the House as a centre of hospitality for distinguished scholars and as a venue for workshops organised in collaboration with universities from around the world.
