Brent Richards

As a 12-year professional soccer player, I have a unique understanding of what it means to follow your dreams and make them a reality. While most don’t have the same dream as I did, for many, owning a home is an enormous part of their lifelong dream. Though my office is no longer a soccer field, I now bring the experience, work ethic, and skills I learned while living my dream to helping others realize theirs.

Before my professional soccer career, I earned an NCAA Division 1 soccer scholarship to the University of Washington. While being the team’s leader in points all four years, I was just as successful in my studies as a two time Academic All-American. After earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, I became the Portland Timbers first homegrown player. Over the next 12 years, I went on to captain and win a national championship with teams in Reno, NV and Orange County, CA. My playing career was defined by demonstrating good character, work rate, and professionalism. These traits that served me well as an athlete are now the pillars to my career beyond sports that I guarantee to my clients.

After retiring from professional soccer, I returned home to the Pacific Northwest. As the son of a carpenter, I’ve received first hand exposure to how homes are built and the level of detail that goes into each and every one of them. I pride myself in using these insights and expertise to help guide people with one of the biggest financial decisions of their life. Additionally, I’ve partnered with a longtime friend, Tracy Hasson, who has a similar upbringing to myself with the same drive and commitment to excellence. Using the knowledge gained from his father, a lifelong home builder and inspector and his uncle, a Realtor and founder of The Hasson Company, Tracy has established himself as one of the top real estate brokers in the Portland Metropolitan Area.

Under the care of two former professional athletes who have built their careers on hard work, dependability, and professionalism, Portland area home buyers and sellers can be certain that Tracy and I will apply these principles to serving their real estate needs to the highest degree.
