Suite A, Blowing Rock, Северная Каролина, Watauga County, 28605Jan has been in real estate almost 18 years, having entered into the field as an associate broker in the Blowing Rock market in 1998. Early in her career, she developed an affinity for showing and selling large parcels of land, but now focuses more on residential properties as market demands changed. However, she is always up for a great hike or four-wheeling on a beautiful piece of land. Three years ago, Jan joined several seasoned REALTORS® in a partnership selling real estate, a company that became a Premier Sotheby's International Realty office in late 2015.
One of Jan's many strengths is her passion for real estate in the High Country, and she loves meeting new people and introducing them to that beautiful part of the world. Having resided in Ecuador, Brazil, as well as northern and southern states, she adapts to various environments easily. This flexibility is an asset in working with many types of buyers. A good listener, she discovers the real estate dreams of her clients and then works diligently to help them fulfill their wishes. Her integrity and loyalty are trademarks that her clients rely on many years after their initial contract is executed.
Outside of real estate, Jan cherishes time with her husband, Don, whom she met while both were attending North Carolina State University. They enjoy being with their son and daughter, and especially with their five fabulous grandchildren. With many trails in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, Jan and Don hike with their two dogs whenever possible. They enjoy watching sports, particularly ACC basketball and Carolina Panthers football. They love the arts and try to stay active in the Blowing Rock Museum of Art and History and the Turchin Center for Visual Arts. They also enjoy music and attend many events at the Schafer Center for Performing Arts at Appalachian State University. Their favorite activity, however, is traveling. She and Don both love seeing and experiencing new places, whether it is Paris in the spring or hiking the spectacular trails in Zion National Park.
