With a distinguished background as both a lawyer and a former editor at The New York Times, Susan served as Deputy Editor of the Sunday Opinion section. Her writing has been featured in leading publications including The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Atlantic, Vogue, GQ, The New Yorker, and the iconic SPY Magazine. She is also the co-author, alongside filmmaker Brian De Palma, of the novel Are Snakes Necessary? (Hard Case Crime, 2020).

Susan brings extensive experience in strategic communications, having served as Communications Director for the Brennan Center for Justice and as Managing Director at Ridgely / Walsh, a prominent PR firm in Washington, D.C.
