Meri Thomas

Meri Thomas has lived in Greenwich for 40 years and has been a Realtor for over 20 years. Meri believes that a top-notch Realtor has a healthy dose of patience, persistence, and a sense of adventure and possibility. She loves meeting new people and helping their requirements come together for a positive outcome. Meri has extensive knowledge of real estate in Greenwich. Prior to joining Sotheby’s International Realty, she worked at Douglas Elliman and most recently with David Ogilvy & Associates, where she was exposed to outstanding advertising and marketing, as well as the highest level of service and discretion. She has consistently been a top producing agent for the last 19 years. Meri has served on several Greenwich Association of Realtors boards, including the Connecticut Real Estate Board of Directors for three years, the Risk Management Committee for five years, and the Standards and Ethics Committee.

She also held a career with Tiffany & Co. in New York City, becoming one of their youngest vice presidents. She eventually left to start a family and moved to Greenwich, continuing as a strategic director for Angela Cummings Jewelry Design, until Angela's retirement. This experience brings an extra edge to her real estate business. She is a good listener and dedicated to unparalleled service.

Meri was born in Helsinki, Finland into a diplomatic family. She grew up in Tokyo, Japan and has lived in Sweden, Holland, China, Hong Kong, Iraq, and Brazil, thereby inherently developing international sensitivity.

Her two sons attended both public and private schools. She and her husband have been involved with Brunswick School, Greenwich High School, and Harvard University for many years. On the home front, Meri can often be found on beautiful Long Island Sound boating and picnicking with family and friends.
