Melody Abella

Melody is a Vice President with TTR Sotheby’s International Realty and a member of The Reef Team, where she brings decades of market knowledge, strategic insight, and steady leadership to clients across Arlington, Northern Virginia, and Washington, DC. In July 2025, she was named one of Washingtonian Magazine’s “100 Best Real Estate Agents” in Virginia, Washington, DC, and Maryland (aka DMV), and in 2023 ranked among Northern Virginia’s Top 500 Realtors - placing her in the top 2% of more than 22,000 agents.

Licensed in Virginia and Washington, DC, Melody is widely known as being “calm in the midst of chaos” in the highly competitive DC metro market. Clients consistently praise her grounded presence, sharp negotiation skills, and thoughtful, tailored strategies that make the buying and selling process feel clear and manageable. A Delaware native and graduate of the University of Delaware’s business program, Melody has called Arlington, Virginia home since 1995 - and has lived in the Arlington Ridge neighborhood (now part of National Landing) since 2002. Prior to real estate, she built a successful career in marketing with leading telecom and technology companies, including Nextel, MCI, Network Solutions/VeriSign, and Sage. In 2006, she founded abellaYoga, a mobile yoga company she operated successfully for many years - an experience that continues to shape her calm, client-centered approach.

Since joining TTR Sotheby’s International Realty in 2017, Melody has grown her business exclusively by referral, a reflection of the trust and long-standing relationships she builds with her clients. She has been recognized annually as a Washington Top Agent since 2018 and an Arlington Top Producer since 2020.

Outside of real estate, Melody brings the same balance of focus, generosity, and joy to her life. She has twice rappelled 14 stories in National Landing to raise funds to combat homelessness in Northern Virginia, teaches weekly BeerYoga at Port City Brewing, and enjoys walks with her rescue dog, Kenzie. Her personal practices - yoga, meditation, running, and exploring DC’s museums and independent bookstores - fuel the grounded perspective she brings to every client relationship.
