Nanette Hansen

Nanette Hansen is one of the most respected and accomplished brokers in the luxury real estate industry.

Nanette joined Sotheby’s International Realty in 2009 and quickly became a top producing agent until 2016, when she was asked to lead the Sotheby’s International Realty - East Hampton Brokerage as brokerage manager. In September 2023, Nanette assumed leadership of the brand’s Hamptons operations, overseeing Sotheby’s International Realty - East Hampton Brokerage, Southampton Brokerage, and Bridgehampton Brokerage.

Before pivoting to Hamptons luxury real estate, Nanette enjoyed a successful 19-year career as an Emmy award-winning television journalist and anchorwoman for NBC, CNBC, and CBS, based in Manhattan. Her national morning newscast “Early Today on NBC” was consistently ranked #1 in the ratings with a blend of business news and general news. As a correspondent for CBS, she became one of few civilians ever to have spent a night on US aircraft carrier, the “George Washington” in the Persian Gulf. Her coverage of the assassination of Itzhak Rabin for CBS earned her an Emmy Award.

Nanette graduated from Boston College, which she attended on a tennis scholarship. She was also a Rhodes Scholar nominee.
