Ron Hemig

After a lengthy career in newspaper publishing throughout the western states, Ron and his wife Pat came to Truckee in 1992. Within a year Ron decided that he needed new business challenges, so he started his real estate career and became involved with community organizations including Rotary and the Truckee Donner Chamber of Commerce. Ron ultimately served two terms as Chamber President and then moved on to start a lengthy twenty year tenure as an elected official with the Truckee Donner Public Utility District (TDPUD).


Ron’s commercial efforts began on the development side. He participated in the approval process for several large Truckee residential and mixed use subdivisions and ultimately got involved in the entire development sales cycle as the exclusive Broker for many area projects including Winter Creek, Pine Forest, Pinyon Creek, Riverview Townhomes and Nakoma Golf Resort.


In 2017, Ron’s real estate career expanded exponentially by establishing a partnership with long time area real estate agent Kristine Mitchell. Kristine and Ron met while serving on the Board of the Tahoe Institute of Natural Science (TINS) and are now Co-chairs for this popular non-profit organization. Licensed in both California and Nevada, Ron and Kristine’s combined 50+ years of real estate experience and business allowed them to surpass goals in achieving successful results. Their longstanding relationships have opened the door for additional development and commercial real estate opportunities, along with impressive accomplishments in luxury residential. They now offer their unique and very personal brand of real estate services in a much larger market area including Truckee, Tahoe, Reno and adjoining communities.
