Stuart Jernigan

Stuart Jernigan brings 20 years of real estate experience to the table, holding a Real Estate degree from UGA’s Terry College of Business and is licensed in both North Carolina and Georgia.

After graduation, Stuart worked in post-Katrina New Orleans, where his project was honored by the New Orleans Historic Society. He personally managed and redesigned a 1970’s apartment building to incorporate the historic elements of the Treme neighborhood in which it sits.

Upon returning to Athens, Stuart dove into commercial real estate with a focus on land, multifamily, and retail. He also began spending more and more time in Highlands. Much of his daughters’ childhood was spent hiking waterfalls, enjoying local restaurants, and shopping along Main Street. Those experiences deepened his passion for the Western North Carolina mountains, where he later began investing and expanding his work.

His background in design, project management, construction, and permitting is a valuable complement to his extensive brokerage experience. Today, he lives in Scaly Mountain with his dog, Georgia, blending his professional expertise with his lifelong love for the mountains.
