Michael has been involved in the real estate industry in the Turks & Caicos Islands for nearly 10 years applying his analytical skills and design expertise to client service as part of the team at Turks & Caicos Sotheby’s International Realty, the country’s leading real estate company. Originally from Grand Turk, the capital of the Turks and Caicos Islands, Michael brings an intimate knowledge of local culture, a keen understanding of design trends in coastal and island architecture, and an adept grasp of sales and marketing strategies tailored to the TCI real estate industry. His multifaceted background enables him to offer clients a professional and creative perspective on real estate and investment opportunities in the islands.
Prior to entering the real estate forum, Michael pursued his passion by obtaining a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Architecture at the Maryland Institute College of Art in 1996, which included a study abroad at Studio Art Centers International (SACI) in Florence, Italy, minoring in art history. Michael continued this journey as a project manager in the high-end residential market in Miami Beach, overseeing design-builds for numerous high-rise condominium projects. In 1999, he returned to the Turks and Caicos, residing on Providenciales, where he launched Innovative Interiors & Architecture Design in 2000, later partnering with a NYC Architecture firm in 2005 to form Fenimore Rosenberg Kolb LLC., an international architecture design firm, and also established Belongings, a boutique furniture and accessories showroom on Providenciales. Continuing his education, in 2011 Michael returned to the United States to study digital marketing and web design at Miami Dade College and then worked for Weiss Research, one of the largest direct-response marketing companies in the US, where he refined his digital sales and marketing skills to an expert level.
Passionate about art and art history, Michael spends his free time producing paintings, drawings, and mixed-media fine art, and recently launched a bespoke service, The Contemporary Art Advisory, for discerning Turks & Caicos homeowners. He also has a strong commitment to community service. In 2016, he launched the animal welfare charity TCI A.W.A.R.E. on his native island of Grand Turk to address the lack of resources and mistreatment of the island’s free-roaming donkeys and horses. More recently, Michael has been actively involved with United Way Turks & Caicos, where literacy has been identified as the primary focus. Through initiatives like the “Yes I Can Read” intervention program and numerous reading events, United Way TCI has positively impacted the lives of more than 500 children, motivating and inspiring a new generation of readers. Michael is proud to support this mission of improving lives by cultivating the caring power of the community to advance the common good for all.
