Heather Croner

Soon after founding her own brokerage in 1980, Heather Croner affiliated with the Sotheby's International Realty® brand, becoming the exclusive representative for Dutchess, Columbia and Ulster counties. In March 2025, Heather united her firm with William Pitt Sotheby's International Realty, the #1 Sotheby's International Realty affiliate in the Northeast, #3 in the world. Today, Heather is associate broker of the William Pitt Sotheby's International Realty / Heather Croner Brokerage.

For 45 years, Heather has been active and successful in marketing and selling luxury properties in New York's Historic Hudson Valley. She has represented some of area's finest properties including mansions, estates, river properties, cottages, farms and land for investment. Her long sales history in this market area gives her a unique perspective combined with valuable experience to aid clients in the fulfillment of their visions. Heather's discretion and negotiating skills have led may satisfied clients to return again and again for her expert advice regarding their real estate assets. Her clients have included famous and influential personalities, business and political leaders, authors and artists from the very top level of their various professions or ways of life.

Heather grew up in England, where she studied art and architecture. After initially relocating to New York City, she settled in Millbrook. Since that time, she has seen the area change from a farming community to pastoral getaway. She is committed to preserving the character of the area, aiming to maintain a balance between growth and conservation. Heather converted a barn on her property into an elegant space that serves as her base of operations. She also developed a notable garden on the property and is responsible for restoring the original Sharpstone Farm, formerly a working dairy farm, from a parcel of 28 acres to its present 150 acres. Heather is a member of The Garden Conservancy of America, and The Aldo Leopold Society, which is associated with the Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies in Millbrook, New York. She supports Innisfree Gardens in Millbrook in addition to other Hudson Valley organizations connected with conservation and general protection of open space and healthy living. In addition to architecture and gardens, her other interests include music, opera and the arts in the local area.
