Prior to joining Four Seasons Sotheby's International Realty, Susan worked as an environmental scientist and as the owner of a successful local catering business. A fifth-generation Vermonter, she moved to the Upper Valley in 2005 after living for a number of years in different parts of Europe and the United States, most recently Manhattan.

Susan's deep knowledge and connection to the land, towns, and neighborhoods offer her clients unique insights into real estate opportunities and life in the Upper Valley. Susan is passionate about bringing together sustainable design and architecture, her clients' real estate interests, and a love of the outdoors.

As an undergraduate Susan attended the University of Vermont, received a Masters in Environmental Management from Duke University, and a Ph.D. in environmental science from Lancaster University, England. She completed her postdoc at Dartmouth College in 2007 and currently serves on the Vermont advisory board for The Trust for Public Land.

Susan tries to find time to run, Nordic ski, play tennis, hike, read and garden. She lives in Norwich with her spouse Andrew, a Dartmouth professor, two sons, Tiger the cat, and a flock of chickens.
