Lisa Hallahan brings a lifelong passion for home, community, and design to her real estate career with Golden Gate Sotheby’s International Realty. A graduate of the University of San Francisco, Lisa spent her early childhood in Hong Kong before moving to Orinda, where she attended junior high and high school. After college, she and her husband, Jack, built their life in San Francisco, and Lisa pursued interior design, gaining experience that now enhances her expertise in home staging, presentation, and helping clients see the full potential of a property. They eventually returned to Orinda to raise their family—a journey that gives Lisa both a long-standing connection and a deep appreciation for the Lamorinda community.

For nearly three decades, Lisa devoted herself to raising her three children and actively supporting the local public schools. She volunteered in classrooms, helped with school events, and assisted in fundraising efforts such as auctions and other community initiatives. She also loved being involved in the activities her children were passionate about, including baseball, water polo, swimming, and choir—experiences that deepened her ties to the community and the families within it.

Family is central to Lisa’s life. Her eldest son, Patrick, a Santa Clara University graduate, and her daughter, Helena, a Pace University graduate, both live in San Francisco. Her youngest son, Griff, is a recent graduate of the University of Washington and is also living locally. Lisa’s husband, Jack, a Villanova graduate, is the owner of Swimming World Magazine, and together they are deeply rooted in both the Bay Area and the broader sports community.

Lisa’s early years in Hong Kong gave her a love of travel and a global perspective that continues to shape her outlook. She also has longstanding ties to Oregon, where her family enjoys time at their home in Black Butte Ranch. Closer to home, Lisa is active in the Orinda Garden Club, playing a hands-on role in community beautification projects, and she is known for her vibrant English-style garden.

Outside of her professional and community commitments, Lisa enjoys cars and belongs to a local car club that meets on weekends. Among her favorites in the family collection are a 1991 Nissan Figaro, and a 1985 Alfa Romeo Spider—each reflecting her appreciation for design, craftsmanship, and timeless style.

An animal lover at heart, Lisa shares her home with three dogs—two Old English Sheepdogs and an English Bulldog—as well as two bunnies. She loves spending time outdoors, whether gardening, walking her dogs, or exploring Orinda’s trails.

With her deep Lamorinda roots, international perspective, community involvement, and interior design expertise, Lisa approaches each client relationship with creativity, attention to detail, and dedication. She is thrilled to bring her experience, passion, and love for Orinda to Golden Gate Sotheby’s International Realty, helping clients achieve their goals and see the full potential in every home.
