Alex Govaars

Alex Govaars is a seasoned real estate professional with a deep-rooted connection to both the industry and the beautiful landscapes of Northern California. Originally from The Woodlands, Texas, Alex relocated to Truckee, California in 2006, drawn by the region's stunning alpine scenery and world-class skiing opportunities. Alex pursued higher education at Palomar College in San Diego County, where he laid the foundation for his career. Over the past 12 years, Alex honed his expertise working for a prominent appraisal management company, specializing in both residential and commercial property valuations. His role involved daily interactions with clients, consumers, and real estate agents, providing him with a comprehensive understanding of the real estate market and the nuances of property transactions. Passionate about offering a more personalized, hands-on approach, Alex transitioned to a role where he can directly assist clients with significant real estate decisions—whether it’s buying their first home, selling a property, or investing in real estate. His goal is to guide clients through one of the most important decisions of their lives with confidence and ease. Outside of his professional life, Alex is an avid outdoorsman. He enjoys snowboarding, hiking, camping, swimming, backpacking, and off-roading. He takes full advantage of the breathtaking natural beauty around him, from alpine lakes to rugged trails. Alex shares his life with his lovely wife, Jenae, whom he met in Tahoe 12 years ago. Together, they have a vibrant two-year-old son named Skyler and two beloved dogs: Camper, an English Black Lab, and Tinker, a Pitbull-Chihuahua mix named in honor of Tinker Knob in the Tahoe National Forest. In both his personal and professional life, Alex is dedicated to fostering meaningful connections and ensuring that his clients’ real estate experiences are as seamless and rewarding as possible.
