Susan Desselle

Born in Arkansas and raised in Dallas, Susan Desselle returned to Little Rock in 2006 with her family and applied her lifelong passion for hospitality and extraordinary facilitation into residential real estate. She opened her first agency in 2014, Desselle Real Estate, and then convinced the world’s only true global real estate brand, Sotheby’s International Realty, to allow her to open a local affiliate agency, Capital Sotheby’s International Realty in central Arkansas, in 2020.

Bringing Sotheby’s International Realty to Arkansas allowed her to accomplish her mission of having a profoundly positive impact on the caliber, professionalism and quality of real estate representation in the state, ensuring that the overall offerings to all buyers and sellers improved dramatically, through natural competitive processes. And it worked! In 2025, five years after successfully launching her Sotheby’s affiliate agency, Susan sold the agency to her very talented second in command, Chris Marsh, so she could refocus all her energy and skills on her own buyer and seller clients locally and around the world.

Susan’s greatest skills are needed in every phase of a real estate transaction to include honed communication, negotiation, problem solving, creative marketing skills, and the rare level of expertise that can only be acquired through thousands of successful transactions and years of teaching and training others how to be best of class in real estate. If an action isn’t a passion for Susan, she just doesn’t do it. Real Estate has been a passion of hers since 2007. Her extensive past client base are her clients for life and many remain her clients long after she has assisted them with real estate in areas around the world that took them away from Arkansas. She has volunteered extensively in her industry and community with board positions to effect positive change with the UALR Real Estate Advisory Board, Little Rock Realtors Association Board, Arkansas Prostate Cancer Foundation Woman of the Year, Graduate of the Leadership Greater Little Rock Class 33, Little Rock Chamber of Commerce Board and various service capacities with Easter Seals of Arkansas. She has been consistently elected as “Best of” agent and has been often quoted as a local expert in Arkansas Business and other local publications.
Personally, Susan has been married to the love of her life, Michael, for 38 years and has two adult children and a son in law, whom she adores. She is an animal lover, has 1 dog, 2 cats and 2 goats (thanks to a dear friend with a farm) and she is an avid traveler. In her spare time, she leads Women's Wellness Retreats combined with exotic travel and is committed to sharing as much joy as possible with everyone she meets.
