With a proud four-year tenure in the Marine Corps, he was stationed exclusively at the esteemed Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island in South Carolina. During his time at Parris Island, Erwin had the privilege of contributing to the support staff, diligently facilitating the training regiment and aiding the remarkable transformation of newly enlisted members striving to earn the esteemed title of United States Marines.

Throughout his honorable service, Erwin held the esteemed role of a valued member of the Color Guard team, upholding cherished Marine Corps traditions. This invaluable experience enabled him to actively participate in a multitude of events and ceremonies, embodying the spirit and heritage of the Marine Corps.
