Des Crain

I am a native of Memphis, Tennessee, with close ties to New Orleans. My uncle was a founding member of the Petroleum Club, and I spent my summers working in the Louisiana oil fields while in college. I acquired my first apartment building while in graduate school. Thus began my love affair with real estate. I began my career with IBM, invested in properties from California to Massachusetts, based on where I was living, and began investing in New Orleans real estate in 1995. My wife Paulette and I live in the Garden District. She is an author. Her most recent book, 'Red Book Rendevous,' is a true story about a native New Orleanian. Our children and grand children live in San Juan, Capistrano, and Santa Clara, California, and our parents live in Memphis, Tennessee. I do not believe I have ever 'sold' a property to my clients... my job is to help them find the property they want.
