Colin Montgomery

Colin Montgomery brings a measured, informed approach to real estate, shaped by years of experience and a deep understanding of his clients' goals. Raised in Washington D.C. and based in New York since 1999, he built his practice at Sotheby's International Realty around thoughtful, individualized service.

Colin tailors his approach to each client's goals—whether that means a co-op off of Central Park, a 19th Century townhouse, or an new development investment opportunity in a shifting market. This adaptability allows him to provide relevant insight, reduce friction, and help clients make confident, well-timed decisions.

Clients return to work with Colin across multiple moves and life stages, and often refer friends, colleagues, and family members—relying on him as a consistent adviser in fast-changing world. He works as part of the Office of Stan Ponte and is a member of the Our Trusted Network, connecting clients to trusted real estate professionals in key markets worldwide.

Colin is a Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE) and a member of the Real Estate Board of New York. He holds a BA from New York University and an MFA in Photography from Yale School of Art. He lives with his family on the Upper West Side.
