Robert Callan

Robert Callan, Jr. is a fifth-generation San Franciscan with a natural passion for real estate. Both of his grandfathers owned real estate companies, and multiple family members—including his mother and business partner, Barbara—are also in the business. Robert is consistently ranked among the top agents in San Francisco and was recently named one of the top 100 real estate agents in the U.S. by Sotheby's International Realty, Inc.

Robert has always enjoyed athletics. As a child, he golfed at the Olympic Club and ran cross country in high school at St. Ignatius College Preparatory. He later took up ultra-marathon running and cold-water swimming in the Bay as a devoted member of the Dolphin Club. These days, he can often be found on his Peloton bike.

Giving back to the local community is very important to Robert. Since 2000, he has contributed to the PlumpJack/LINK Golf Classic, a charitable organization founded by his brother Geoff and sister-in-law Hilary Newsom. The organization raises funds to help educate and support individuals affected by cancer. Robert has also served on the Executive Board of the San Francisco Child Abuse Prevention Center (now Safe and Sound) and was an early Ambassador for EARN, an organization that helps low-wage workers build strong financial futures through asset building.

Recently, Robert was appointed by Governor Gavin Newsom as a commissioner on the California Behavioral Health Services Oversight and Accountability Commission. He is passionate about expanding access to quality mental health care across California.

Robert's goal is to provide his clients with the highest level of attention and service. His tireless work ethic, deep knowledge of the ever-evolving real estate market, and strong negotiating skills offer clients confidence and ease during one of life's most important transactions.

He currently lives in San Francisco with his wife and two children.
